I have been trying to find out what they are since I took an almost identical picture out of the plane window on my way to Las Vegas a few years ago.
Now I don't believe they are the Atlas Uranium Mill tailings ponds. According to what I read the Atlas MIll Tailing pond was capped.
My Delorme mapping software says they are Texas Gulf Potash Ponds.
And after some research, I believe the picture is of The Texas Gulf Potash Ponds.
